The goal of the MLS American Division Professional Development Plan is to help teachers develop and apply the knowledge and skills necessary to help students learn. Continuous professional development and training has been determined to be essential in maintaining a highly qualified teaching staff committed to serving the educational needs of students by providing educational programs which: (a) include new developments and knowledge in academic disciplines; (b) reflect new instructional, research and public service techniques and strategies and (c) meet changing needs and expectations of students.
